Bhim condemns brutal police action against labourers at Chenani-Nashri Tunnel

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party met several representatives of the workers who have been resorting to continuous dharna in Chenani protesting against the brutalities and atrocities committed by local police to please the Chief Minister. The workers are also demanding implementation of Wages Act. Prof. Bhim Singh justified the demands of the labourers and condemned assault on them by the police. Prof. Bhim Singh demanded immediate dismissal of Mr. Gian Chand Sharma, the Chenani Dy.SP who is involved in several criminal cases in Jammu and Udhampur during his tenure as Dy.S.P. Prof. Bhim Singh said that Mr. Gian Chand Sharma has also created a terror against the nationalist Bakerwals residing in Mansar area by filing illegal FIRs and usurping their vehicles.

Prof. Bhim Singh accused NC-Congress government for the terror they have created against the employees and working class on the one hand and for encouraging the anti-national elements on the other.Prof. Bhim Singh also advised Panthers Party workers in Udhampur District to standby the labourers protesting in Chenani against the administration and the company which is exploiting their situation. He has also urged Shri N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K to intervene in the matter so that all the detained workers are released forthwith without any delay. He said if the workers are not released within 10 days, he shall file the writ petition in the Supreme Court of India seeking damages and compensation for the detained workers.
