Army soldier shoots himself dead

An army soldier committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district late Friday night.Sepoy, Ajay Singh (belt no. 4094788X) of 7 Gadhwal posted at Narthal camp along Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector, shot himself with his service rifle, official sources told GNS. “After hearing gunshot his colleague rushed to him where he was found lying in pool of blood,” they said.The injured soldier, a resident of Garhwal, Uttrakhand was immediately shifted to the nearby military hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the sources added.It was not immediately know why the soldier took the extreme step.
