State of the Art Industrial Area gets Centre’s Nod: Mukesh Agnihotri

Decks have been cleared for setting up of State of Art Industrial Area in village Pandoga in Una district with the Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India granting approval for diversion of 60.2920 hectare of land to the State Government. Disclosing this, Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri said here today that this was possible due to the concerted efforts made by the State Government. He said that the State Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh has effectively taken up the issue of setting of State of the Art Industrial Area in the district at various levels in the Centre.He said that the Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh would soon lay the foundation stone of this ambitious project so that it could be completed within the stipulated time period. He said that Chief Minister has announced setting up of three State of the Art Industrial Areas in the State, out of which Rs 112 crore Industrial area in Pandoga in Una district and another Industrial area in Kandrori in Kangra district have been approved and work would be started soon on them.

Agnihotri said that this would open new vistas for the potential entrepreneurs as they would get world class facilities in this State of the Art Industrial Area. He said that this industrial area would be developed with an initial investment of Rs 112 crore. He said that the State Government has already approved an amount of Rs 40 crore for providing electricity supply line in the industrial area. In addition Rs 8.70 crore has been approved for environment clearance, he added While crediting Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh for getting this State of the Art Industrial Area approved, Shri Agnihotri said that it was the special interest envisaged by the Chief Minister this project was approved. He said that it was due to the blessings and guidance of the Chief Minister that a world class industrial area would come up in Una district. He said that this would not only provide gainful employment opportunities to the youth of the State but also contribute to the State exchequer.   

Agnihotri said that the State Government has nominated HP State Industrial Development Corporation as the State Implementing Agency (SIA) for development of this Industrial area under the Modified Industrial Infrastructure Up-gradation Scheme (MIIUS). He said that final approval for the venture has been accorded by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry Govt.of India during the month of March this year and financing has also been approved by the Banks.Industries Minister said that this world class industrial area would have new units in Paper, Chemical, Glass & Ceramic based industries besides, Mechanical and Allied Products, Service Establishment, Engineering, Steel Furniture, Pharma, Steel Wire, Wooden Furniture etc. He said that this industrial area would have all the basic facilities such as 132 KV Sub Station, Common Facility Centre, Common Effluent Treatment Plant, besides facilities such as working women hostel and rain shelters for the workers. He said that this project would prove a major mile stone in the development history of Una district in general and Haroli constituency in particular.
