Ch. Zulfkar Ali directs speedy completion of major dev projects in Kupwara

Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) and Tribal Affairs Wednesday directed the executing agencies including R & B and JKPCC to gear up their field functionaries and pace up work on all ongoing developmental projects in Kupwara district.The Minister who is also Chairman of District Development Board (DDB) Kupwara reviewed the pace of progress achieved by different departments and executing agencies in completion of the projects in a meeting with the officers of R&B, Revenue, JKPCC, Education, Planning and Development departments here today. He also reviewed the decisions taken in recent DDB meeting besides their implementation on ground.

The Minister directed the concerned to complete 50 per cent works of all ongoing major projects by the end of November this year. He also asked them to utilize the funds judiciously and use standard material. He said that any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated at any cost.The Minister directed the concerned to complete construction work of Sub District hospital Langate by the end of this month. He also asked the R&B Department to start construction work on two road projects of Dardpora Manzgam and Safalpora sanctioned under NABARD.

While discussing the pace of construction of school buildings under RMSA in Kupwara district, the Minister expressed dismay over the slow pace of work on these projects. He asked the concerned to maintain close coordination with the concerned departments so that these projects will be completed well in time. Ch. Zulfkar asked the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara to review the RMSA projects and ensure their completion in a fixed time frame. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, Chief Engineer, R&B, Mr. Satish Razdan, Director School Education Kashmir Mr. Showkat Ahmad Beigh, Managing Director, JKPCC Mr. P. L. Bushan, Director Planning S. Bilal Ahmad besides officers of R&B, Revenue, Education, Planning and JKPCC.
