Hurriyat (G) condemns house detention of Geelani, ors

Terming the house detention of Hurriyat Conference (G0 chairman Syed Ali Geelani, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat general secretary Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar, personal secretary to chairman Peer Saifullah, secretary public relation Altaf Ahmad Shah and district president Srinagar and Ganderbal Raja Mehraj-ud-din even on the auspicious day of Eid and stopping them from the Eid prayers and arrest of scores of innocent youths and students as the worst kind of state terrorism, Hurriyat (G) Monday condemned it in strong words.

In a statement to KNS a spokesman of Hurriyat (G) said, ‘The coalition government of BJP-PDP has no respect for the Muslims and their religious obligations and since the inception of this government the restrictions over the political, social and religious rights of common people have been further tightened. Act of detaining of the pro-freedom leaders in their houses and police stations on Jumma-tul-vida and Eid like auspicious occasions proves that the state of Jammu & Kashmir is practically ruled by the RSS and the local administration directly follows the orders from Nagpur.”

“Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has not only surrendered in front of his communal partner but he is also helping them in the implementation of their evil plans about the Kashmir and its people. This grimy character of Mufti Sayeed has made the situation of Jammu & Kashmir very serious and alarming and the anger of the people can burst like a volcano anytime,” he warned.The Hurriyat (G) spokesman also strongly condemned not releasing of the political prisoners on the Eid and further arrest of dozens of youths on that day and demanded immediate release of all the arrested people.
