Priya Sethi participates in Amarnath Yatri Bhandara

‘Lauds role of social organizations in yatra’

Minister of State for Education, Information, and Culture, Priya Sethi, today participated in a Bhandara, organised for the visiting pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra by the Sant Sewa Ashram, Peer Kho, Jammu at Railway Station, here today.

 Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government is committed to ensure smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and all necessary arrangements have been put in place for the benefit of visiting pilgrims. She said the government is fully prepared for extending required facilities to the Yatris in case halt to yatra due to bad weather conditions.“The administration is fully geared up for all Yatra related activities, but efforts made by different social organisations in providing much needed support to the Yatris at different locations are praise worthy,” she added.

Senior BJP leader, Mr. Yudhvir Sethi, who was also present on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the Sewa Ashram and said that every year a large number of social organisations join hands with the administration to ensure smooth conduct of the Yatra. He said the administration has made elaborate arrangements for the yatra, but social organisations also play a substantial role by supplementing efforts in arranging Langars, medical camps and other facilities for the visiting devotees and make the task of the administration somewhat easy.

President of the Ashram, Mahant Swami Sarvanand Saraswati informed that the organisation has made arrangements for boarding and lodging for those pursuing the annual Yatra. He said thousands of devotees and Sadhus have been availing the facilities made available by the Ashram .Prominent among those present on the occasion included, Sansar Chand Gupta, Subash Chander, Munish Gupta, Sunil Mahajan, S.K. Seth, Bhubneshwar Gandotra, Raj Kumar Raja, Dr. R.L. Handoo, Davinder Seth, Satish Sharma, Bhushan Lal Handoo, Ashok Kohli, Vijay Sharma, Kamdev Samol, Ms Meera Sharma, Vinod Mehra, V.P. Gupta, Sanjay Sharma, Chancal Popli and Ms Anamika Abrol.
