Naeem Akhtar reviews Eid arrangements at Bandipora

Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar today visited Bandipora to take stock of the arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr.The Minister visited Eidgah Bandipora, Jamia Masjid Bandipora and Aham Sharief where the largest Eid congregations are held in the district. He interacted with the local Imams (prayer leaders) and representatives of the Masjid Committees and enquired about the arrangements made by the administration for Eid.He directed the district administration to ensure proper sanitation in and around the town, especially the places where the congregational Eid prayers are to be held. He also called for ensuring round-the-clock power and water supply in the district. He also called for making all the street lights in the town functional immediately.

The Minister asked RTO Bandipora to ensure adequate public transport facility for the people who want to join Eid prayers in Bandipora town, Aham Sharief and other central places.The Minister also visited the Bandipora market and interacted with the shopkeepers and Eid shoppers there. He called for strict price-control of essential items to prevent the people from getting fleeced.The Minister was accompanied by DC Bandipora, SSP Bandipora and other senior officers of the district administration.
