Directs removal of bottlenecks on Parimpora-Narbal road

The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today took a detailed review of the progress oof work on Parimpora-Narbal (Shalteng) road and other road projects of Kashmir division at a high level officers meeting here.The Div Com directed concerned agencies to remove the bottlenecks confronting 4-lane Parimpora-Narbal road on priority.

Speaking in the meeting, the Div Com directed all executing agencies to speed up construction works to ensure early completion of road projects including Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri, Bandipora-Gurez-Sumbal, Baramulla-Kupwara-Chowkibal etc.

The Div. Com instructed the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar and other concerned officers that compensation and rehabilitation cases of Gurdwara and a Petrol Pump be sort out with respective stakeholders as soon as possible, so that Parimpora-Narbal road project work will not hamper.The Chief Engineer Beacon gave brief detail to the Div Com through a PowerPoint presentation and assured the Div Com that 80 percent construction work will be completed by October this year.By video conference, Dr. Samoon reviewed progress of land acquisition cases in all districts of Kashmir division especially details of land occupied by the Army. Among others Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Chief Engineers of PDD, PHE, PWD, Beacon Organisation, Collector Land Acquisition, Superintendent of Police West, Srinagar and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
