Asiya Naqash reviews Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida, Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements at Hazratbal

The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Ms Asiya Naqash today convened a meeting with the officers of district administration Srinagar to review arrangements for Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr.     The meeting discussed the requirements and important measures to be taken for the convenience of the devotees visiting Hazratbal shrine for special prayers on Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr. Accordingly, the concerned departments were instructed to make adequate arrangements for providing uninterrupted power and water supply besides ensuring fire-fighting system and proper parking for convenience of the devotees at the shrine.

Security and other arrangements like uninterrupted electricity supply, water supply, availability of essential commodities, sanitation of Hazratbal area were discussed in the meeting. She also directed the concerned to ensure adequate transport facilities on these auspicious days.The Minister directed the concerned to keep a close vigil on the stock and supply position besides checking of unlawful profiteering by the traders. They   were also directed to intensify market checking in all markets.The meeting was informed that the timing for Isha prayers on Shab-e-Qadr would be 10.30 PM at Hazratbal and the timing for Zuhar prayers on Jumat-ul-Vida will be 2.30 PM besides while timing fir Eid prayers will be 10.30 am at Hazratbal.The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Mr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mr. Tufail Mattoo, SSP Traffic Srinagar City and other officers of various departments.
