Manjit Singh appeals Panchayat members to participate in Rahul Gandhi’s rally

Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today appealed elected Panchayat Members to participate in the tomorrow’s rally of AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi.For this purpose, he held a meeting with the Panches and Sarpanches in Vijaypur and appealed that they should participate in the rally since Congress was the only political party which has been fighting for the right of Panchayats.“It was the dream of former Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi to strengthen Panchayats,” Singh said, adding that they would fight until Panchayats were fully strengthen and made them self-sufficient.He said that under the leadership of JKPCC, president, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz will ensure incorporation of amendment of 73rd Panchayati Raj Act in the J&K’s Panchayati Raj Act.
