Speaker inspects various sections in Assembly Secretariat

Asks employees to work with dedication, follow up ATRs

The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul today inspected various sections including question section, hospitality and protocol branch, legislation, library, store and stock in the Assembly Secretariat after opening of offices here after the darbar move.The Speaker directed the officers of Assembly Secretariat to work with utmost dedication. He also asked them to follow up Action Taken Reports (ATRs) of the proceedings held in previous Assembly Session besides the directions given by various Committees to the departments. He asked the concerned to prepare the list of library books immediately and ensure its availability online so that interested people can get information about the library books of the Assembly Secretariat.

The Speaker directed the concerned to maintain cleanliness in and around the Assembly Complex.Mr. Gul said that the meeting of the all the Chairmen of different financial and other Committees will be convened soon. He said that the functioning of the Committees will be reviewed every fortnightly.The Speaker directed the Secretary Assembly Mr. M. Ramzan to ensure the functioning of winter Assembly Secretariat at Srinagar so that any grievances of the public are redressed as and when he (Speaker) visits the Valley.Interacting with the employees, the Speaker inquired about the facilities including residential accommodation being provided by the Government.Later, the Speaker visited the office of Deputy Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Mr. Javed Ahmed Rana to felicitate him for taking charge as Deputy Chairman of the Council.
