Army diffuse mortar shell in Jammu

Army Friday diffused an unexploded mortar shell that was found in a drain in Jammu on Friday. A police official told CNS that some people found a mortar shell lying near a drain at Shakti Nagar Jammu and immediately informed the police. “An Army team rushed to the spot and recovered that unexploded 81 mm mortar shell. The team took custody of the object and later safely destroyed it at the Sunjwan army station," he added.The official said that investigation has been taken up to find out who dropped the shell near the drain.
