DDC Ganderbal reviews Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida, Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements

Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today reviewed the arrangements being made for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in an officers meeting at Mini-Secretariat Ganderbal. Officers from Revenue, Fisheries, CA&PD, PDD, PHE, R&B, Food Safety, and representatives from Traders Union Ganderbal and Kangan also participated in the meeting.The District Development Commissioner exhorted upon the Executive Officer of Municipal Committee to ensure proper sanitation throughout the towns and install LED lamps in the markets of Ganderbal and Kangan.  R&B department was directed to carry out necessary renovations on roads in the main market of Ganderbal.

The market checking squads were directed to intensify market checking so that illegal profiteering and selling of low quality food items would be curbed. They were also advised to take representatives from the Traders Union during market checking. It was also decided that any person having any complaint regarding the rates and quality of stuff being sold in the market can contact Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ganderbal or SDM Kangan during office hours.  It was also decided in the meeting that Fisheries department shall set up 02 sale outlets of Trout, one each at Mamer and Margund where trout fish shall be sold. Regarding availability of LPG and other essential commodities, CAPD department was directed to ensure that no shortage of essential commodities and LPG is observed and enough of stocks be kept available in the district.District Development Commissioner instructed the PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply in the district during festival days.
