Flash floods at Haripur Khaul near Paonta Sahib

Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister expressed grief over the sad demise of Shri Hasan Singh who died when he washed away due to flash floods at Haripur Khaul in Paonta Sahib Sub pision of district Sirmaur today. Nine more persons are reported to be missing till the report reaching at State headquarters .On getting the information, Chief Minister directed the district administration to rush to the spot with medical and rescue teams to oversee relief and rehabilitation works and provide necessary medical services to the persons injured in the flash floods. He also directed them to make best of efforts to retrieve missing persons from the debris of flash floods. He also directed to provide relief to the families of the persons and others injured due to the flash floods as per relief manual of the State. Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police alongwith medical and rescue teams have already left to the spot of flash floods to take stock of the situation and monitor relief and rehabilitation works. Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Chief Parliamentary Secretary and local MLA, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, former Health Minister and General Secretary, State BJP are also on the spot to oversee the relief and rescue operations.
