People fed up with NC, Congress : Manhas

Charging the state’s NC-Congress coalition government of discriminating with minority community in erstwhile Doda district in matters related to development, welfare and security, BJP National Executive Member & former State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the people here are living in clouds of insecurity and are fed-up with the ruling NC and Congress as they feel betrayed.Manhas, while addressing a massive public gathering in Doda town, said that there is widespread resentment among the members of minority community in these hilly areas which have passed through hard times of militancy during the last over 23 years. He said that the minority community have been targeted again and again not only by the militants but a handful of members from the majority community too have been making attempts to create wedge between the two communities and give rise to communal tensions but the peace loving people of Doda have always maintained communal harmony and both the communities have been living in cordial atmosphere despite the fact that some mischievous elements have time and again tried to create disturbances.

Manhas said that the majority of people of Doda are now openly criticizing the coalition government for its policy of discrimination and extending the benefits of development and welfare schemes to near and dear ones or activists of NC and Congress. Not only this, the BJP leaders and the nationalist people are being harassed on one pretext or the other with a motive to pressurize them to change their political loyalties towards Congress or National Conference and the leaders of these two political parties are patronizing the whole game plan. He said that the people have suffered a lot during the last five years and they are now going to get an opportunity to teach Congress and NC a lesson. For that, they should all decide to vote against these two parties and support BJP in the next assembly elections as the present coalition has only promoted corruption and nepotism.Shamsher Singh Manhas also welcomed dozens of new entrants into the party in presence of Pawan Khajuria, Dalip Singh Parihar, Shakti Parihar, Koushal Kotwal, Basant Raj, Gian Chan, Vipana Manhas, Iqlak Wani and Malik Mohd.
