Minister for Transport, Abdul Gani Kholi this morning formally launched bus service from Srinagar-Poonch-Rajouri via Shopian and Mughal road.Acting MD, SRTC, RTO, Kashmir and senior officers of SRTC and Transport Department were present on the occasion.The Minister said this service will benefit large number of people living in these hilly and border areas, especially businessmen and traders community. He said Government is making all out efforts to provide reliable, cheap, safe and comfortable bus service to the people, adding that SRTC is playing important role in this field.The Minister asked Managing Director, SRTC and RTO to make sure that bus service will be available to the people throughout the week. He asked them to make proper arrangements for booking of seats at Srinagar, Poonch and Rajouri. He also asked MD SRTC to inform people about the bus service through print and electronic media so that maximum people get benefit from this service.
