Madan advocates issues of Jammu Region

Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency while addressing the huge gathering  at Jakh,Vijapur, Railway Station Jammu appealed all Communities to unite irrespective of their personal interest.  He called upon the Jammu People to unite  for the common cause of Jammu . He  asked people to strengthen the Congress Party for the greater interest of Jammu as no other party from Jammu can share power and watch the interest of Jammu pision at Large.  He said that time has come when Jammu people should present a united face to counter the nefarious designs of anti Jammu forces. while addressing the people of various unions includes Taxi Union, Auto Union, Coolie Union, Bus Union , Matador Union  at Railway Station Jammu termed them life line of Jammu as they are working with great hospitality and providing 24x7 services to the Tourists/ Pilgrims who reaching Jammu from all over India and overseas . Mr. Sharma said that he will arrange a meeting of these Unions with MOS Railways GOI at Jammu to address their problems they are facing presently. He maintained that he spoke for the cause of Jammu as sitting MP as the people have mandated him for the same. Mr. Raman Bhalla Hon’ble Minister also assured the People to address their genuine problems. Other present on the occasion includes Shri Inderjit Khajuria, Devinder Singh, Ravi Mahajan, Inderjit Sharma, Kamal Pradhan,Pritam Singh. Later on Mr. Sharma conducted an extensive tour of border villages of District Samba includes   Kullian, Kangwala, Banglard, Soldi appealed the State Government to declare border belts on IB as RBA status. 

Sharma appealed the State Govt. to allot 5 marla plot to affected people on IB and LOC in the safer zone beyond firing range.He also demanded enhancement in compensation to the victims of border firing and shelling at par with the victims of  militancy in J&K presently border victims are entitled for Rs.01 lac. and Militancy victim for Rs.05 lacs.  Mr. Sharma strongly voiced to end this discrimination.  He also demanded  special on spot recruitment from border areas in Police with age/qualification relaxation, as the education of the people residing on border belts  suffered because  they have faced 5 major wars and alternate shelling/firing but remained stood and firm with the Army and BSF and creating an example of patriotism . He also demanded to increase rent of the land under Army use and he rather suggested that Army should acquire that land and provide suitable compensation to the people and  also demanded for insurance cover to life, property, cattle and crops of the people residing on the borders and asked the Administration to access the crop losses and other losses in border villages and provide suitable compensation to the people.
