DC Rajouri reviews performance of banks

The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri ,Deepti Uppal today reviewed the performance of banks here at the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) Meeting.The meeting was attended by Santosh Kumar LDO from RBI, Mr. Des Raj, DDM NABARD, Senior Officers from District Administration, Officers of line departments and Bankers.LDM Mr. Anoop Bhat briefed the house about the achievement of banks during the period 2014-15. He said the deposits in the District rose from Rs.2123.90 crore to Rs.2345.20 crore, registering a growth of 10% while as advances grew from Rs.509.10 crore  to Rs.612.77 crore registering  a growth of 20%. He said against the target of Rs. 280.58 Crore  set for priority sector lending   under the Annual Credit Plan, achievement as on 31.03.2015 stood at Rs.195.25 with Rs 42.17 crore disbursed under Agriculture sector, Rs 35.34 crore under micro and small enterprise, Rs.0.72 crore under Education loan sector, Rs 11.80 crore under Housing Sector and Rs. 105.22 crore under other sectors.

The DDC Rajouri,   while reviewing the performance of Banks/ Agencies, directed to improve CD Ratio by lending liberally.

She directed Banks and   Departments to organize awareness camps to encourage local youth to avail benefits of the Government Sponsored Schemes. The DC stressed on the need to sanction and disburse KCC on priority so that the farmer community of the district could benefit from the scheme meant for improving their livelihood and foster prosperity in rural India.he DC directed Agriculture Department and Banks to provide KCC to every farmer and ensure speedy disposal of cases with no pendency. SHe also directed all the line departments to contribute towards preparation of Potential Linked Plan (PLP) of NABARD for the district for the period 2016-17.The DC expressed satisfaction over successful implementation of EBT (Electronic Benefit Scheme) and advised officers to make the scheme a grand success in District Rajouri where it has been launched alongwith other selected  districts.
