Governor Appreciates The Role Of Printing Industry

Presiding over 227th Governing Council Meeting of All India Federation of Master Printers at Zirakpur, the Governor of Punjab, Haryana and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki said that since its inception All India Federation of Master Printers has done sterling work to increase the prestige and influence of the printing Industry and it render better and more useful service to the public. He said that society was even bigger than the government which has given recognition to the Printing Industry. He said that printing Industry has given direct employment to 25 lakh people and in this respect this Industry has paid back to the society.

Appreciating the role of organizers Prof. Solanki said that he was sure that deliberations over the next two days would be very useful and open up new avenues for the advancement of Indian printing industry. He said such events, besides giving the opportunity to the printers to interact with each other, also help them at regional and national levels to keep them well informed about the latest technological developments in the graphic arts and media industries. He assured the organizers that there genuine demands would be recommended strongly by him to the centre government.

Earlier, Shri Dev Nair, President, All India Federation of Master Printers, gave detailed information regarding the working and scope of Printing Industry.  Speaking on the occasion, Sh Vijay Kumar Chopra, Editor-in-Chief, Punjab Kesari group of Newspapers said that he still remember old days when they print News papers with letter printing and today due to advanced technology matter goes from computer to printing plate. He said that   formed in 1953, All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), is the apex body representing the Indian Printing Industry. It draws its strength from 63 regional affiliate associations spread all over the country having 2.5 lakhs printers. 

Prominent amongst others who spoke on the occasion included, President, Jalandhar Printers Association, Shri Anand V. Limaye, Honory General Secretary, All India, Federation  of Master Printers,  Sh. Praveen Aggarwal, President, Offset Printers Association, Ludhiana and delegates who have gathered from all over the country.
