BJP remembers Pt. Prem Nath Dogra

On the occasion of 129th birthday of Sher-e-Duggar & former National President of Bharatiya Jana Sangh Late Pt. Premnath Dogra, BJP organised a programme at Dogra Chowk, where a havan was performed which was followed by garlanding the statue of Pandit ji and distribution of halwa. Leader of BJP Legislative Party & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, while remembering the struggleful life of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra, said that this great son of Duggar soil was the torch bearer of the voice of common and nationalist people in the state who always stood like a rock against the Kashmir-centric and separatist tendancies and worked to unite the people for agitating for full integration of the state with the rest of the country. Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s statement of threat to his life, Khajuria said that Rahul is trying to escape the wrath of the suffering people by making such emotional statements. He said that people are well aware that his grandmother Indira Gandhi was a dictator who imposed emergency in the country and put thousands of nationalist people in jails for months together. He said Rahul’s father Rajiv Gandhi, after taking over as PM, did not take any effective step to control the situation in 1984 Delhi  riots as a results of which thousands of innocent Sikhs were murdered on the patronage of some Congress leaders.  

National Executive Member & former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh said that Pandit ji gave a new direction to Ek Vidhaan, Ek, Nishaan, ek Pradhaan agitation and played a very important role in uniting the nationalist forces under one umbrella. He said Pandit ji never had any greed for a post but his sole agenda was to get the separate symbols abolished and ensure the free flow of the Constitution of India in totto. He said that the state has passed through very hard times after the demise of Pandit ji but the path set by Him is giving us the energy and encouragement to keep moving with eyes targetting on fulfilling unfinished task. He said that the true tribute to this great soul will be to take pledge to not deviate from the path and continue to work whole heartedly.    

BJP Kashmir Cell National Co-Convenor Chander Mohan Sharma said that the day coincides with the birthday of Late Kedar Nath Sahni ji, who also had very close association with Jammu and Kashmir and was one of the leaders who had taken the mission of fighting the pro-Kashmir and anti-Jammu policies of the state government.State General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Kumar Koul, on this occasion, informed about the forthcoming “Accession Day” programmes to be organised to celebrate the day at all Districts on October 26 adding that at Jammu it will be held near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at Tawi bridge.Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta, who presented vote of thanks, said that the youth in particular has to take the ideology and principles of Dograji to every nook and corner of the state and educate people about the mission of uniting nationalist forces in the state.

Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Naresh Dogra, Subhash Dogra, Vikram Randhawa, Vinay Gupta, Narottam Sharma, Naresh Pradhan, Ramesh Sharma, Jaideep Sharma, Sanjita Dogra, Arvind Gupta, Sanjay Baru, Dalip Gupta, Sunil Dogra, Praduman Singh, Ayodhya Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari, Sat Pal Choudhary, Dinesh Gupta, Surinder Choudhary, Ajay Vaid, Ishant Gupta, Gulshan Mahajan, Jeet Angral, Faqir Chand, Amrjeet Dogra also garlanded the statue of Panditji.
