BJP’s massive public rally at Poonch

Led by BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, party’s senior leaders, who are part of  “Refugee Adhikaar Yatra”, which will start on Thursday from Chakke-da Bagh, were given a rousing reception on their arrival at Poonch.The BJP Poonch District President Sunil Gupta, alongwith his office bearers and prominent citizens, reached Bench town, ten kilometers ahead of Poonch to receive the team. Later, the team in a large procession of cars, scooters and motorcycles, reached Poonch city, where a public rally was addressed by the leaders.Jugal Kishore Sharma, while elaborating on the motive to take out “Refugee Adhikaar Yatra”, said that right from partition of the country, lakhs of people from West Pakistan, PoK, and other areas, are living as refugees in very miserable conditions in different parts of the state and majority of them are in Jammu province. They have been deprived of citizenship rights, no compensation for the properties left behind has been given till date, they have been agitating for genuine rights and their three generations have perished demanding the same. He said this yatra will pass through the bastis of refugees, highlight their problems and exert pressure on the government to wake up and meet their long pending demands.

State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga said that the BJP has been raising the issues related to the refugees for decades and will now put more efforts to see that they are granted all the rights.Rajiv Jasrotia briefed the public about the yatra route, yatra period as well as the schedule of national and other leaders of the leaders who will also join it.

BJP Cells State Incharge Sat Sharma (CA.), Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, BJYM State President & Yatra Co-Incharge Ravinder Raina, Poonch district prabhari S. Charanjit Singh Khalsa, State Publicity Secretary Aseem Gupta, Poonch BJP Mandal President Pardeep Sharma and senior leader Satish Sasan also addressed the public.
