International Day for Yoga observed at Kathua

Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua in collaboration with District administration, AYUSH, Art of living,  Youth Clubs and Mahila Mandals, organized a district level function at Sports Stadium, Kathua in which over 1400 participants performed Yoga .

MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia was the Chief Guest and  Deputy Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal was the Guest of Honor on the occasion . Senior Officers of district administration besides officials and prominent citizens of Kathua participated and performed Yoga.District Youth Coordinator, NYK Kathua Som Datt Zard welcomed the Chief Guest and other and participants. M.L.A. Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia highlighted  the origin of  the Yoga by visionary Rishi-munies and history of Yoga in Vedas. He said that we should feel proud that International Yoga Day is being observed in 192 counties and it will help in establishing harmony and peace in the world, MLA added.  He appealed general public and youth to follow yoga for overall development.Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Jamwal in his address said that importance and usefulness of Yoga has been recognized and accepted all over the Word. He urged upon youth and public to spare few minutes for yoga and lead a happy, healthy, stress free and successful life.Vote of thanks was presented by  ADMO, ISM, Kathua Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal.
