Er Rasheed for valley wide campaign to press for IIM, IIT, IIMC for Kashmir

MLA Langate and president Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) Er Rasheed has yet again appealed various Kashmir based political and non political organisations to launch a joint valley wide campaign to press for the demand of IIM, IIT and IIMC for Kashmir.While reacting to the written assurance given by Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh to the agitators for announcing establishing AIIMS for Jammu before July 20, Er Rasheed said, “This all seems to be a well drafted game plan to justify AIIMS for Jammu, besides providing them IIT and IIM which stand already sanctioned. How come is it possible that govt. would have after few bandhs and hartals in Jammu so easily succumbed and a minister not less than the rank of Deputy Chief Minister had to give an assurance and that too in writing about establishing AIIMS in Jammu.”

“May government clarify that if sanctioning AIIMS or any such institute of national standard is not within competence of state government, how could Nirmal Singh give an assurance, unless he doesn’t have understanding with union govt? The whole game seems to be a sort of match fixing only to side line Kashmiris and create logic for giving three prestigious institutions to Jammu,” he said.“However Kashmiris are mature enough to read the story down the lines and it is duty of political and social organisations to launch a mass public campaign to force union government to establish IIM, IIT and IIMC in Kashmir,” the MLA Langate added.Er Rasheed urged all stake holders who claim to be representing sentiments and aspirations of Kashmiris to unite and fight jointly for the genuine cause before it is too late and things run out of their hands.
