“Khanda” Becomes A Hit On Social Media

An 81-feet high “Khanda” made of stainless steel and installed at Panj Piara Park in Sri Anandpur Sahib has become hit on social media. The “Khanda” was dedicated to the humanity in the presence of Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal today. It has also become a center of attraction amongst the pilgrims, who had reached the holy city to take part in the 350th Foundation Day celebrations of Sri Anandpur Sahib.“Khanda” has already become a hit amongst youngsters who have been uploading its pictures on the social media.Ranjodh Singh, managing director of GS Radiators, who was part of the installation team of “Khanda” said that it has come up only due to the efforts of Baba Karnail Singh Tallewal, Chamkaur Singh Tallewal and owners of Satnam Engineering, Moga, who constructed this Khanda in pure stainless steel. He said that the Khanda has been prepared in accordance with the aero-dynamic design that would ensure that the Khanda withstands the air pressure.Amiteshwar Singh, a resident of Chandigarh, who was in Sri Anandpur Sahib along with his friends today, said that posing with the “Khanda” instills them with confidence and boosts their morale. There were several like him who were busy clicking “selfies” with the Khanda.
