BJP committed to deliver as promised during last year election: Avinash Rai Khanna

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and Member Parliament, and in charge Jammu and Kashmir, Avinash Rai Khanna today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is committed to the development of Jammu and Kashmir state, as promised to its inhabitants during last year election.While addressing a party workers convention here, Khanna said that Modi’s vision is to develop Jammu and Kashmir as tourist hub and for that party is committed to take several developmental measures in the state.“The flow of tourists in the state will directly benefit everybody from cab driver to hotelier here,” he said.Khanna also said that the increasing number of Amarnath Yatris would benefit more to the state in generating its economy.He also asked the party workers to work hard to ensure smooth Amarnath Yatra. “Those who contested election on BJP ticket in Kashmir despite losing election are party’s MLAs and they should work for people as well as for party to strengthen it,” Khanna said, adding, BJP as party was committed to place these workers in the government.

Expressing satisfaction with its party workers in Kashmir, Khanna said that BJP was proud to get 50 thousands votes in Kashmir and registered three lakh thrity thousand workers within 100 days of BJP rule in the Valley. He also said that flood affected should get compensation so that they can restore their business. “We talked to PM, Finance Minister and other centre ministers about the compensation. We have also given district charge to every minister so that every area is benefitted,” he said. Khanna said that the present coalition PD-BJP Govt of the J&K is committed for the development of the state. He later on takes the meeting of the contested candidates and advised them to work in their respective constituencies honestly.Speaking on the occasion, party’s MLC and State Vice- President, Ramesh Arora said BJP would reach to last man and work for their betterment as promised last year.Present on the occasion were Dr Daraksh Anderabi state secretary, Dr Ali Mohammad Mir central Kashmir President, Ashish Sareen state vice-President BJYM and other senior party workers.
