pisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial status of projects under Special Task Force (STF), Jammu upto ending September 2013. The chair was apprised that under the R&B sector work is apace on the upgradation and widening of Ramangar, Dudu Basantgarh-Latti road, Patnitop, Sanasar road, while the sub structure of alternate bridge near Abdullah Bridge (Rajouri) stands completed and other remaining work are under progress.The pisional Commissioner was informed that under the PHE sector the filtration plant for Rajouri town has been completed while the alternate water supply scheme to save Lake Surinsar and Mansar will be completed in the current financial year.

Threadbare discussions were held on the status of various projects under the Housing and Urban sector it was informed that land for solid waste management projects has been identified in Rajouri and Udhampur case has been referred to the concerned departments for necessary clearance.Regarding Civil Aviation sector, Shantmanu directed for expediting land acquisition cases. He reviewed component wise details of Jammu Airport Extension Project.pisional Commissioner also took a detailed review of various ongoing projects under the revenue, tourism and social welfare sector. He directed for maintaining close coordination between the executing agencies for timely completion of the projects.Later, Shantmanu convened a meeting of senior officers to discuss the issues related to exchange of forest land situated at revenue village Sunjwan in favour of Army in lieu of its land situated at Satwari coming under extension of Jammu Airport.Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu was also present. Senior officers of Army, Forest, AAI, PWD I&FC, Estates and others were present in the meeting.
