Sakina visits Noor Abad Constituency

Says Govt working hard for upliftment, socio-economic development of people living in remote areas

Minister for Social Welfare and ARI Trainings  Sakina Itoo said that government led by the dynamic Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah has taken several initiatives for the upliftment and development of the backward sections of the society and people living in remote areas. She said extending basic amenities including adequate supply of portable drinking water, electricity, better roads connectivity, besides education and better healthcare facilities has been given top priority so that people do not face any problem for want of these basic amenities.This was stated by the Minister while addressing a large gathering of people during his visit to Kotmarg area of Noor Aabad constituency here on Saturday.

Sakina also took stock of various developmental works being executed in the various areas of the Constituency. She directed the concerned officers to take up the necessary steps for repairing of interior road at Cheemer and other villages immediately.Various deputations met the Minister and brought several issues before her. The Minister gave patient hearing to the deputationists besides gave  on spot directions to the concerned officers and assured them that all genuine demands will be redressed in phased manner.On the occasion the people of the area appreciated the efforts made by the Minister in the development of the They said that lot has been done and more needs to be done for the upliftment and betterment of the people of the area.

Earlier, Ms Sakina paid obeisance at the Ziyarat of Hazrat Shiekh Noor-u-Din Wali RA at Cheemar noor Aabad and Ziyarat Hazrat Syed Jamal-ud-Din Syed Bilal-ud-Din at Kotmarg. She prayed for the prosperity and development of State and announced of providing Rs 1 lakh for the construction of boundary wall of the Ziyarat.The Minister also assured them that the initiatives will be taken for bringing Kotmarg area on tourist map.Besides, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam and S P Kulgam, Officers of district administration, large gathering of people and public representatives from Baichalan, Dhanpar, Kotmarg and other adjoining areas were present on the occasion.
