DDC pre-reviews District Plan at Baramulla

In view of the District Development Board meeting on June 18 at Baramulla, District Development commissioner Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah today chaired a meeting of District and Sectoral officers at Dak Bungalow Baramulla. The preliminary meeting was held in order to discuss the progress and achievements both physical and financial under different sectors during 2014-15.The District Development Commissioner took a comprehensive review of the performance of different sectors during the last financial year. It was given out that 552 villages of district Baramulla are equipped with road connectivity, portable water facility is present in 563 villages and 530 villages of the district Baramulla are electrified.

While reviewing the progress under R&B sector, it was given out that the total expenditure under the sector during the last financial year stood at Rs. 1811.26 lakhs. Out of the physical targets 27.83 Kms were macadamised, while 43.18 Kms were blacktopped. Moreover, two bridges were completed and 198 cubic centimetres of earthwork (widening) was done during the last financial year. It was also given that 3 roads and a Bridge are under execution under Central Road Fund scheme. Under PMGSY, 106 schemes are under execution with cumulated expenditure of Rs. 9271.72 lakhs till March 2015.

The District Development Commissioner also reviewed the physical and financial achievements under PHE, Irrigation, Health, Education, PDD and other sectors.The Superintending Engineer PHE informed that District Development Commissioner that 263 schemes of PHE are under execution in the district including 199 gravity schemes and 63 lift schemes with the total Cumulative Expenditure standing at Rs. 372.5 lakhs till March 2015. Meanwhile, Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme, NRDWP, RMSA, SSA, MGNREGA and other schemes and financial and physical achievement there under was also reviewed on this occasion.Joint Director Planning, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, all District and Sectoral officers attended the meeting.
