364 VECs constituted in Udhampur

On the directions of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, 364 Village Education Committees have been the reconstituted in district Udhampur with the active participation of Chief education Officer, Udhampur, Zonal Education Officers, Headmasters, Patwaris, Sarpanches,  Panches, Anganwari workers and parents of the respective school children.People of the area welcomed the initiative of district administration Udhampur and showed keen interest in the process.About 364 VECs have been constituted in 11 zones of Udhampur district with head master as chairperson, patwaris, anganwari workers, panchayat members   and parents of the students as members of the committee.

These VECs will monitor the functioning of respective schools, inspects various construction works, quality of midday meals, attendance of the teachers etc. which will help in raising the standard of the schools and improvement in the education sector in the district.
