Finalize Arrangements For The Celebrations Of 350th Foundation Day Of Sri Anandpur Sahib

Continuing series of meetings for the second consecutive day to finalize the arrangements for the celebrations of 350th foundation day of Sri Anandpur Sahib, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, today called upon the leaders of SAD-BJP alliance and the top brass of the government to elicit huge participation of the people from different walks of life on this historic event.The Chief Minister, who held series of meetings with the leaders of the alliance and officers from Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ludhiana and Moga here at Punjab Bhawan, said that the state government was very fortunate to have got this great opportunity of organizing a mega event on the completion of 350 years of Sri Anandpur Sahib- the city of bliss. Mr. Badal said that this year June 19 marks the completion of 350 years of coming of this holy town in existence so the state government was commemorating this gala event from June 17-19 with all its humility and enthusiasm to pay glorious tributes to the great legacy of this historic town in a befitting manner. 

The Chief Minister asked the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Traffic to constitute special teams of the Police officers at the assembly segment level to ensure the smooth and hassle free movement of the buses being deployed to ferry the people at this mega event. He said that these teams must study the entire route plan prepared for the movement of vehicles during the celebrations. Likewise, Mr. Badal said that these teams must also visit the venue of function and study the district wise land allotted for the parking of these vehicles so that the devotees do not face any sort of problem. 

The Chief Minister further said that on June 17th a special function ‘Mata Nanaki Gurmat Sammelan’ was being organized to commemorate the great contribution of Mata Nanaki for the Sikh Panth. He said that women devotees from across the state would participate in this event and pay homage to Mata Nanaki. Mr. Badal also finalized the arrangements for this mega event. 

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister asked the Education Minister Dr. Daljeet Singh Cheema and his Special Principal Secretary Mr. KJS Cheema, who were monitoring the entire arrangements for the function, to ensure proper facilities to the devotees coming to attend this mega event. Nirmal Singh, Mrs. Virender Kaur Loomba, Mr. Joginder Singh, Mr. Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, Mr. Darshan Singh Shivalik, Mr. SR Kaler, Mr. Mahesh Inder Singh Brar and Mrs. Rajwinder Kaur, former Ministers Jathedar Sucha Singh Langah, Jathedar Hira Singh Gabria and Mr. Nirmal Singh Kahlon, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Raj Kumar Khurana, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. KJS Cheema and ADGP (Traffic) Mr. Jasminder Singh.
