DDC Kathua reviews progress of schemes under Rural Development Department

District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal today convened a meeting to review the Physical and Financial progress of all components under MGNREGA, Swach Bharat Mission, IAY and NRLM.ADDC Kathua Manhohan Singh, PO DRDA, PO IWMP, XEN REW, ACD, CEO, BDO’s, AEs/AEEs of Kathua district attended the meeting.DDC reviewed physical and financial progress under Swach Bharat Abhiyan, MGNREGA, IAY, Education Sector, BADP, SDRF.The DDC laid stress on time bound completion of targets which were assigned to the respective BDO’s.  Directions were also passed to XEN REW to take weekly review of the works done by BDO’s and asked BDO’s to monitor the construction works which were taken up in their blocks under Swach Bharat, IAY, MGNREGA and timely submission of utilization certificates of works done under SDRF.

Further laying stress on time bound completion of targets on top priority. The DDC passed directions to BDOs to further involve PRIs in community mobilization programmes which are going to be held on 14th June.  Directions were also  passed for coordination of VLW’s, panchyats secretaries with ZEO’s of their area for successful holding of community participation fete of village education committees and stress was laid on the construction and maintenance of ponds, check dams specially in kandi areas for conservation of water bodies. BDO’s were directed to maintain liasioning with people and organize awareness programmes about various schemes launched by the government.Earlier ACD Kathua briefed about the works taken up under various components of MGNREGA, IAY and Swach Bharat abhiyan.DDC also reviewed the physical and financial achievements under NRM where PO IWMP briefed DDC about various construction works of ponds taken under NRM (Natural Resource Management).
