Sadhotra, Rana visit Eidgah, exchange greetings with Muslim brethren

Minister for Planning & Development, Ajay Sadhotra and MLC Mr. DavinderSingh Rana today visited Eidgah, Jammu and exchanged Eid greetings with the Muslim brethren.Interacting with the Muslim brethren, Mr. Sadhotra said that festivals remind us our duties and commitment towards the mankind and in our country the festivals are jointly celebrated and these provide us opportunities to strengthen the bonds of mutual brotherhood and communal harmony. He said the festivals symbolize peace, love and compassion and inspire us to help the poor, needy and under-privileged and must extend helping hand to them. He hoped that the Eid will help in further promoting the peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.Both the leaders while sharing the Eid greetings with the Muslim brethren expressed the hope that both the communities will work together for the prosperity of people of Jammu and Kashmir. They appealed the people to exhibit more flexibility and maturity to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and help in making the Jammu and Kashmir more prosperous and peace zone. They also appealed all those who are indulging in militancy activities at the behest of anti-national forces to shun the path of confrontation and join the mainstream and help in maintaining peace and harmony in the State. They said all religions teach us to live with peace and there is no place for any kind of violence in the civilized society.
