Lal Singh visits GMC, Family Welfare Department

Seeks cooperation of employees for rebuilding health infrastructure

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Choudhary Lal Singh today visited Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar and interacted with the representatives of Medical Education Federation who put forth their demands and highlighted their grievances.The Minister assured the representatives of the Federation that their problems would be looked into and resolved on priority. He urged the medical and paramedical staff of the college to be true to their profession and work with dedication to mitigate the sufferings of the patients. He asked the federation to help in rebuilding the health infrastructure in the state. He said the Government is taking various steps for the development of health infrastructure in the state and a mechanism is being worked out to resolve the problems of employees of the health department.Earlier, the Minister visited Health and Family Welfare Department Srinagar and interacted with representatives of Employees Confederation, who made him aware about their problems. The Minister assured them that their problems would be redressed.Director General, ISM, Director, Health and Family Welfare and officers of Health Department were present on the occasion.
