Five killed as Bangladesh ferry capsizes

At least five people were confirmed dead after a ferry carrying some 60-70 people capsized on Thursday in a river in Bangladesh's Bhola district."Five bodies including four children and one woman have been found so far," Xinhua quoted Anis Shikder, officer-in-charge of Bhola's Monpura police station, as saying.The ferry capsized in Meghna, one of the three rivers, along with the Ganges and Brahmaputra, that form the Ganges delta.Shikder said a search operation is underway and a rescue vessel has been called in to salvage the ferry.
