CM’s commitments reviewed at Anantnag

DC urges for early completion of projects

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the commitments of Chief Minister made during the recent visit to the district.Superintending Engineer PDD, Assistant Commissioner Development, Additional Deputy Commissioner, General Manger DIC, Chief Education Officer, Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority, officers of Horticulture, Bank, Fisheries and Wildlife attended the meeting.The progress of the commitments made by Chief Minister was discussed threadbare in the meeting. It was given out in the meeting that the work on the renovation and repairment of auditorium Hall at GDC Anantnag is near completion and the installation of electric transformer at Polytechnic Collage Larkipora will be taken up in coming days and primary work of the project has already been taken up. 

The renovation work of Sher Bagh park will be started by J&K Bank as same has been handed over to it by Floriculture department. Besides, J&K Bank will also renovate the cause-way of “Vandlana” Park at Aru Pahalgam along with establishment of a cafeteria inside it. The progress on installation of electric transformers in demarcated industrial complex at Vessu was also reviewed.The commitments made with regard to Wildlife, Education, Horticulture, Tourism, Animal Husbandry, Floriculture, Youth Services and Sports were also discussed and DC was apprised with the action taken reports in this regard.Dy. Commissioner directed all the officers to speed up the work on CM’s commitments and submit action taken reports fortnightly. He urged them to work honestly and transparently so that the projects are completed within the stipulated time.
