Gupta offers floral tributes to Saint Kabir Ji Maharaj

Minister of State for Finance & IT, Pawan Kumar Gupta gave a floral tribute to the great saint Sat Guru Kabir Ji Maharaj, to commemorate 617th  Parkash Utsav of  Saint Kabir Ji, a function was organized by the Sad Guru Kabir Sabha, Baryal near Air Force Station in  Udhampur District here today.On the occasion, Mr. Gupta highlighted his contribution of   Saint Kabir was towards establishment of a harmonious society based on social and economic justice. He said that Saint Kabir who envisions a society where every individual and community would be treated as equal.      Mr. Gupta advised to the congregation to follow the path of saint Kabir Ji, it would be a true tribute to the spiritual Guru besides such religious occasion provide us an opportunity to introspect and improve our lives.President Kabir Sabha Udhampur, Mr. Ram Lal Bhagat put forth various problem and demands which include construction of link road Baryal main road to Kabir Bhawani, Gazetted holiday of Sadguru Kabir Sahib ji etc.

Gupta assured the society to take up their genuine problems and demands with concerned for their early redressal. Earlier, in the morning a huge number of enthusiastic men, women and children participated in the Shoba Yatra of Sadguru Kabir ji accompanied by MLA Chenani, Mr. Dina Nath Bhagat and Former MLA Udhampur, Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia which passed through   Baryal, Venus Chowk, Salan Talab, Chabutra Bazaar, Dabar Chowk, Mukharjee Bazaar, Ramnagar Chowk, Slathia Chowk , Dhar Road and finally culminate at Kabir Bhawan, Baryal, where rich tributes was paid to the Great Spiritual Saint.

Later, Minister also distributed momentoes and certificate to meritorious students of the community those who had shown excellent results in school and professional examinations were honored. Special Kabir Award given to Lamberdar Baryal, Mr. Jia Lal for commendable job of his community. Guru Ka-langer was also served to the devotees on the occasion.On the occasion, a Satsang by Swami Milki Ram Bhagat from Gorda and Swami Vijay Bhagat from Jalander on the life and teachings of Bhagat Kabir was also held. Swami Ji impressed upon the masses to inculcate the spiritual and moral values among the children, youth and others to free the society from all the evils like drug addiction, smoking, drinking and dowry system etc this will lead to upliftment of society and mankind.

State President, Bhagat Mahasabha, Chairman, Kabir Sabha Udhampur, Mr. Ved Parkash, Senior Vice President, Mr. Chuni Lal, Youth President, Mr. Raj Kumar, Treasurer, Mr. Om Parkash, General Secretary, Mr. Durga Dass, Secretary, Mr. Kuldeep Kumar,  President block and tehsil level, Members of the Sabha, Sarpanches, panches and representatives of other social and religious organizations besides large number of devotees attended the function.
