Dr. Jitendra Singh convenes public meeting, listens to public grievances at Billawar

Union Minister of State, (Independent charge) Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister’s office, Ministry of personal, Public grievances and Pension, Department of Atomic energy and Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today  convened a public meeting at Billawar  Rest House. ADDC  Kathua Manmohan Singh ,ADC  Kathua Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, SDM Billawar Rajeshwar Singh Charak, Collector Thein Dam D.C Bhatti, BDO, Tehsildar and other district and tehsil level officers, panches, sarpanches and large number of locals attended the meeting.During public meeting locals projected their demands related to improvement of road connectivity, water and power supply and also demanded construction of tunnel from Mata Bala Sundari Shrine to Kathua. The locals also demanded re-provision of Dogra certificate for the aspirants seeking belt force job.  They also highlighted their demand regarding installation of Digital X Ray machine at Sub district hospital Billawar , early completion of Bhini bridge, playground at Bhaddu and also demand for opening of industries in Billawar to increase the employment opportunities for the local youth.

While responding to the demands of public, Dr.Singh said a Skill development Center will be opened in Billawar and also asked revenue authorities to identify land and prepare its revenue record for opening of KV school in Billawar.Further Dr.Singh announced 12 lacs for the purchase of modern medical equipments  as per the requirements in sub district hospital Billawar  including digital X Ray machine  for providing better health care services to the  people. He further announced 4 lacs for Bhaddu playground.  Dr Singh also announced 5 lacs for construction of community hall at Mandli and 10 lacs for the construction of Sarai at Billawar.

While addressing the gathering Union Minister of State, PMO Dr. Jatindra  Singh said the government at the centre headed by Prime Minister Narinder Modi is committed for the development and welfare of the general public.  Several welfare schemes / programmes viz Pardhan Mantri Jan Dhan  Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Beti Bacho  Beti Padhao scheme,  Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan have been launched by the central government for the welfare of common masses, the minister asserted.Further Dr. Singh directed officers to solve the public grievances on top priority and assured that every effort will be made to address the problems of the people.
