Renzushah calls on N.N Vohra

‘Central Asian conference on literature shall be organized in September’

The chairman Kashmir Society Khwaja Farooq Renzushah Friday called on Governor N.N Vohra at Raj Bhawan here.

“The Governor lauded the literary and social contribution of Kashmir Society. The Kashmir Society has in its credit conveying of various international and national seminars of literature and contribution of spiritual personalities. Last year the Asian level seminar which was held in Kashmir University and other places of Srinagar received worldwide coverage. Besides Ambassador of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and various other Central Asian countries, top scholars from Central Asia attended the conference which was presided over by his Vohra. He also released the novel of Khwaja Farooq Renzushah ‘Jheel Jhalti Hai’ which is the first novel in Kashmir to be translated in four languages in order to ensure linguistic unity of J&K state. The Bollywood has also selected this novel for new film ‘Chinar’ which revolves exclusively around cultural and social heritage of Kashmir. The film will be released this year soon after Eid. Two research scholars have also got M. Phil degree from Jammu University and one scholar from world reputed Allahabad University for conducting research on Renzushah’s novels,” a statement of the KS said.

“The governor who has always taken personal interest in highlighting glorious history of Kashmir and believes in all-round development in all fields advised Chairman Kashmir Society to play vital role in creating literary atmosphere to the budding youth in all fields of creativity so that the character of state of being abode of knowledge and literature shall be maintained forever. Renzushah informed the Governor that Central Asian Literary Conference will again be held in Srinagar in the month of September and invited him to preside over the conference. He also informed the governor that Kashmir Society has launched a campaign against use of drug and alcohol in the state so that our youth remains away from all kinds of immorality and drug menace. The society is devoted to encourage the creativity among the youth in various fields including Art, Culture, Scouting and film making,” he said.
