Impressing upon the officers to work with dedication & coordination to ensure better services to the general public, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Asgar Hassan Samoon today chaired meeting of officers at DC’s office Baramulla.The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, District, Sectoral Officers, Civil Society members and Traders Federation also participated in the meeting.The Div Com during the meeting stressed upon the officers to work in a proper way so that the ongoing works are completed within a shortest time. The Div Com directed the officers that no flood victim should be left un-covered under relief and rehabilitation programme. He said that every step should be kept in place to assist the flood victims so that they can spend their normal life.

The Div Com also took a comprehensive note of the recent fire incidents in Baramulla old town. He expressed concern over the growing number of fire incidents in the old town and directed the Deputy Commissioner to devise a mechanism to solve the issue of fire incidents.Greater Baramulla plan was also discussed in the meeting. In the meeting street light facilities at District Hospital, completion of bridges, drainages and sanitation were also discussed. The Deputy Commissioner briefed the Div Com about the progress in the greater Baramulla plan. The Div Com impressed upon the Deputy Commissioner to step up the process of land acquisition and progress of the plan.

Moreover, the Div Com also highlighted the issue of lack of cafeteria and Utility services along Srinagar Muzaffarabad Road. He directed the Superintending Engineer R&B to ensure completion of such formalities along with road at an earliest.Earlier, the Div Com inspected different sections of the DC Office Baramulla. During the inspection, he interacted with the general public and listened to their issues.Dr. Samoon took a comprehensive note of the functioning and infrastructure of various sections of the office.
