Sea Of Devotees Have Darshan Of Guru Sahiban's Relics In Hoshiarpur

A sea of devotees had darshan of relics of three Sikh Guru's at local Roshan Ground, here today. The Darshan Didar Yatra has been started by the Punjab Government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for the darshan of the relics of three Sikh Guru's.Before the start of yatra from Roshan Ground, Singh Sahib Giani Mal Singh, Jathedar of Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib performed Ardas. A contingent of Punjab Police gave guard of honour to the yatra.Since early morning today, thousands of devotees reached Roshan Ground for the darshan of relics of three Sikh Guru's. The devotees showered flower petals as the yatra progressed towards its next destination. The yatra was led by Panj Piara's and several gatka parties performed Sikh martail art Gatka on the occasion.

On the start of the Darshan Didar Yatra today, prominent among those present were Cabinet Minister Mr Sohan Singh Thandal, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Bibi Mahinder Kaur Josh, Chief Minister's political advisor Mr Tikshan Sood, MLA Mr Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, former MP Mr Varinder Singh Bajwa, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Anandita Mitra, SSP Mr Rajjit Singh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mr Anand Sagar Sharma, Mayor Mr Shiv Sood, District BJP President Mr Anandvir Singh, chairman Market Committee Mr Avtar Singh Johal, SGPC member Mr Harjinder Singh Dhami, District President Istri Akali Dal Bibi Sukhdev Kaur, Deputy Mayor Mr Prem Singh Pipplanwala, Baba Nihal Singh Harianbelan, Sant Pritpal Singh Mitha Tiwana, Baba Ranjit Singh, Ajwinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh Parmar, assistant secretary SGPC Harjit Singh Lalu Ghuman, incharge Yatra department SGPC Karanjit Singh and media incharge Kulwinder Singh, besides several others.

In Bulowal town, the yatra was welcomed by Bibi Mahinder Kaur Josh, MLA Mr Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, SGPC member Tara Singh Sallah, Jaspreet Singh Thiara, chairman cooperative bank Satwinder Pal Singh Dhatt, Ajwinder Singh, Baba Hardev Singh Talwandi Araiyan, Karanjit Singh Bablu, Harjinder Singh Dhami, Kulwinder Singh Janda, Gurmel Singh Mundian, Gurjit Singh Pawla, besides several others.While moving from Hoshiarpur to Tanda, the yatra was welcomed in Lachowal, Dusarka, Bulowal, Khadiala Sainian, Sikri, Sran and other nearby villages. For the devottes, several stalls of langar and chabeels were set up along the route.The yatra would halt for night at Tanda and tomorrow, it would enter the Jalandhar district via Bhogpur.
