Legislator and State Secretary Communist Party of India (Marxist) Muhammad Yousf Tarigami Tuesday criticized the BJP-led NDA government for "doing nothing except making promises and announcements" in past one year, and for falling short on various promises it made before coming to power.     Addressing a news conference in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Tarigami said that Modi led government at Centre completely failed to deliver the goods. “On health, business, agriculture and other fronts, the the Modi government  failed to make a mark. The BJP had made lots of false promises and it mislead people during the elections. This government is not even allocating proper funds for the schemes sponsored by the Centre,” Tarigami said.

He said that Naredndra Modi has ignored the poor people of the country and has been grooming only the people from corporate sector. “Wherever any Cabinet Minister of Modi led government goe’s, he or she admits the failure of the government. Even a Parliament Standing Committee member admitted the failure of the Indian government in Kashmir,” he said.Castigating Indian Defence Minister for stating the terrorists will be neutralized through terrorists; Tarigami according to CNS demanded a stern action against the Minister for his irresponsible statement. “This statement has depressed the people of Kashmir. Earlier BJP president Amit Shah had stated that Parliament has right to decide about the abrogation of Article 370. All these statements only alienate people of Kashmir,” he said.

Responding to a question, Tarigami said that PDP-BJP government has also failed to deliver the goods in the state. “Treasuries are empty. There is huge financial crunch. Employees are without salaries. Roads are dilapidated and flood victims have not been yet rehabilitated. All this shows that State government in Jammu and Kashmir has miserably failed and it has even not succeeded to get flood package from the Central Government,” Tarigami said. (CNS)
