Naeem Akhtar reviews development scenario of Tral

A high-level meeting was convened here today to review the follow-up action on the decisions taken during the recent visits of Education Minister, Mr Naeem Akhtar to Tral and Dadasara.Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for PWD (R&B), Floriculture and Gardens & Parks, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Asiya Naqash, MLA Tral, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and PDP Youth Wing President, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra were also present in the meeting.Speaking at the meeting, the Education Minister said that focused attention is being given towards holistic development of Tral area. Referring to the upgradation of various roads in the area, the Minister asked ACD Pulwama to personally visit Dadasara area and take up the upgradation work on the interior roads on priority.

With regard to development of school infrastructure, various works being carried out in schools of the Tral area were discussed in the meeting. Akhtar asked MD JKPCC, to complete the pending work of Laboratory Building in Boys Higher Secondary School, Tral at the earliest. He also directed State Project Director, RMSA/SSA and Director School Education Kashmir to work out a strategy so that various schools under state plan could be converted into SSA schools, in order to have better infrastructure.The Minister said that Rs 1 lakh donated for school education by one of the NIT Srinagar Alumni, during recently held NIT Alumni meet shall given to Government Higher Secondary School, Boys, Tral for purchase of desks.During the meeting, Minister for PWD (R&B) instructed Chief Engineer R&B, to take up all major road links to Tral on priority and get the work started on these within 10 days including, Awantipora-Tral road through Dadasara, Tral-Aripal road, Dadasara- Nowdal road, Tral - Shikargah Road and all interior roads of major towns including Dadasara interior links.

The Minister further instructed that the construction work on the two bridges including Chandrigam and Batagund be taken on priority, and it was decided to start work in case of Chandrigam village, within one week. He also asked to take up the upgradation of two parks including Dilnag and Gantral park on priority, and instructed to start work of Gantral park within a week.

On request of Minister for Education, the Minister for PW(R&B) instructed the Chief Engineer to take on priority the Lurgam road upto the Government Higher Secondary School.The issues regarding Panchayat Ghars in Tral area was also discussed in the meeting and ACD Pulwama was instructed to visit these villages personally to identify the land for building Panchayat Ghars under the direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama.The Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama informed the meeting that a transformer repair workshop under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana is also coming up in the Tral area, which would take care of electricity problems in the area.It was also decided in the meeting that as a mark of recognition of excellent parenting, Shabir Ahmad father of Anika Shabir of Dadasara who topped in Matriculation examination would be regularized in JKPCC.

Commissioner Secretary, School   Education, Chief Engineer PWD (R&B), Kashmir, MD, JKPCC, Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Director, SSA/RMSA J&K, Director, School Education, Kashmir, SSP, Awantipora, Joint Director, School Education, Kashmir, ACD, Pulwama, CEO, Pulwama, CMO, Pulwama , besides BMO, Tral also attended the meeting.Later, Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar also visited Kheer Bhawani shrine at Tulmulla in district Ganderbal to review the arrangements put in place for the annual festival.The Minister greeted the devotees and interacted with them. He went around the shrine complex to take stock of the arrangements made by the administration for the devotees.The Minister extended warm greetings to the people, particularly Kashmiri Pandit community, on the day and wished it to be omen of happiness and development in the State.
