Panel directs for pursuing public interest issues vigorously

The Committee on Assurances of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly headed by Hakim Muhammad Yasin directed the concerned officers of Assembly Secretariat to work with dedication and pursue the Action Taken Reports of the pending Government Assurances given by the various Departments from time to time on the floor of the House. The panel also asked them to follow the Assurances pertaining to public interest issues vigorously so that the grievances of the people are redressed well in time.The direction in this regard was given by the Committee which met with its Members Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Mr. Asgar Ali Karbalaie, Kuldeep Raj and Mr. Noor Muhammad Sheikh here today.The Committee also reviewed the ATRs of previous Committee and decided that the Panel would examine the Assurance of Agriculture Production Department in its next meeting. It also asked the Assembly Secretariat to obtain necessary records about the pending Assurances pertaining to them.Secretary Assembly Mr. M. Ramzan and other senior officers attended the meeting.
