Teenaged girl raped in Kolkata

A 15-year-old girl was raped by a call centre employee here in the West Bengal capital, police said on Wednesday.According to a police complaint filed by the girl's father, the crime took place on Tuesday midnight in Tiljala area in the city."The accused man called the girl on Tuesday night at his residence on the pretext of celebrating his birthday. He then forced himself upon the minor and raped her," a police officer said.Cases have been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Indian Penal Code and a search has been launched to apprehend the accused, the officer said.
