Ch. Zulfkar Ali reviews progress of preparing ration cards

Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Ch. Zulfkar Ali  today interacted with the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu, Poonch, Samba, Rajouri, Reasi, Udhampur, Kathua, Kishtwar, Leh and Kargil districts through video-conferencing and got first hand appraisal of the arrangements  made for preparing and distribution of ration cards among rationees according to 2011 Census.Addressing the meeting, the Minister sought detailed report in this regard. He also directed them for preparing lists of APL, BPL and other beneficiaries, saying that the rationees would get ration cards as per lists prepared and submitted by the concerned Deputy Commissioners.

The Minister directed the concerned to expedite preparation of rations cards so that the ration is provided to the rationees according to projected figures of 2011 Census. Ch. Zulfikar directed the concerned for adopting transparent mechanism for providing ration cards. He asked for completing Socio-economic survey report in this regard.Commissioner Secretary CA&PD, Director CA&PD, Kashmir and other senior officers of the department were present on the occasion.
