60 year old woman ‘beaten to death’ by husband in Kupwara

In another case of domestic violence, a woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband in Tanghdar area of frontier Kupwara district in south Kashmir. A police spokesman said in a statement issued to GNS that 60 year old Nazim Jan was “brutally beaten and critically injured” by her husband, Ghulam Rasool Khan, of Nowpora Suliman in Tangdar.“The woman was shifted to SKIMS Soura where she succumbed to her injuries,” the spokesman said, adding, police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.Pertinently, Manzeela, a Bengali married into a Kashmiri family of Khankah-e-Moula, of Old City Srinagar died after set ablaze by her husband on April 26, last month.
