Chief Minister appeals for liberal donation towards Red Cross

On the occasion of the World Red Cross day, members and office bearers of State Red Cross Society pinned up Red Cross flags to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here today.The theme of this year is ‘Power of Humanity: The Fundamental Principle in Action”.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of the State to liberally donate towards State Red Cross society and serve the suffering humanity. He also made a contribution towards the Fund on the occasion. He said that the Red Cross was playing a pivotal role in promoting humanitarian principles and values besides helping the poor and the needy. The Chief Minister said that and all its branches over the State were committed to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity.“ I hope that the Red Cross Society would continue in its endeavours in future as well and be always committed for the welfare and health needs of the people of the State”, said the Chief Minister.Chairperson, Hospital Welfare Section and Vice-Chairperson of the State Red Cross Society, Smt. Pratibha Singh  was also present on the occasion amongst other members of State Red Cross Society on the occasion amongst children.
