Help transform Rajasthan, Raje urges India Inc.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has urged the Indian Inc. to set up industries in Rajasthan for a sustainable and inclusive development, as a kick-off to the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit later this year.Addressing a meeting of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) here on Tuesday evening, Raje said the state has initiated policy, regulatory interventions and investment facilitation measures to enhance the ease of doing business in the state."Rajasthan's position as an emerging market within the country is undeniable. We want to attract industrial investments which will bring about a transofiration in the economic landscape of the state," Raje said.

She added that the state has already implemented 64 of the 89 measures recommended by the Centre for boosting ease of doing business and the rest would be implemented soon."Our Single Window System provides for single point online application and interaction for investors. The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme provides attractive financial incentives and subsidies for investors, and pioneered labour reforms," Raje said. "There is no doubt that the time to invest in Rajasthan is now," she added.Rajasthan is now consulting all stakeholders to finalise its new affordable housing policy, mining and new tourism policies, textile and technical parks, and a 20,000 km long network of state highways.

Referring to the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Commissioner of Industry Abhay Kumar pointed out that nearly 40 percent of the DMIC would influence 60 percent of the state's districts.The DMIC's five key nodes with manufacturing hubs and logistics parks are being developed in Rajasthan, along with world-class infrastructure and integrated townships."We are mineral-rich with surplus land, close proximity to major markets, a good mix of leading foreign and domestic companies, large and small enterprises, traditional and sunrise sectors," Kumar said. "We want to promote automotive, engineering, defence sub-systems manufacturing and Electronics System Design & Manufacturing," he added. 

Raje's delegation included Public Health and Engineering Minister Kiran Maheshwari, Public Works and Transport Minister Yoonus Khan. It conducted the road show in preparation for the RRPS scheduled in Jaipur on November 19-20.The Rajasthan government has earlier held roadshows in Japan, Germany, and in Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ludhiana with significant investment commitments.
