Manish Tewari says Akalis failed to get relief for Punjab farmers

Senior Congress leader and former union minister Manish Tewari today blamed the Akali-BJP government in the state for its failure to get relief for the farmers.Addressing a workers meting in Haibbowal here today, Tewari said, the neighbouring Haryana has managed to get 100 percent relaxation for procurement in terms of colour and moisture, while no such relief has been given to Punjabi farmers.He said, the Akali/BJP government had outlived its life and it was just a matter of time when this government falls. He pointed out the treasuries were empty and there was no money even to pay the solarises what to speak of any development anywhere.Tewari attended a ration distribution function also, organized at Joshi Nagar, Haibowal.Others present on the occasion included Pawan Dewan, Baljinder Bunty, Satwinder Jawaddi, Palwinder Taggar,  Sunny Kainth, Maninder Pal Singh Titu, Rajnish Chopra, Sunil Shukla, Jagdish Shenty, Resham Singh, Shashi Pal Joshi, Ramesh Handa, S.N Billa, Dr. RK Verma, Ramesh Bharadwaj, Devraj Kapoor, Jivan Soni.
