CM stresses need to follow Sai Baba’s message of peace and humanity

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that the message of humanity, equality, peace, love and humility preached by Sri Sathya Sai Baba was more relevant today which should be followed by everyone. He said that Sai Baba had special love and affection towards Himachal Pradesh and its people and he visited the State many times. Virbhadra Singh was addressing the Annual Sports, Cultural Meet & Prize Distribution function of Sri Sathya Sai School, Anand Vilas, Pujarli near Shimla, today. He said that Sri Sathya Sai Baba opened many reputed educational and health institutions in Andhra Pradesh and due to his vision and efforts every village got potable water in Andhra Pradesh. He said that it was Sai Baba’s dream to open educational institute in Himachal Pradesh for which the State Government provided land at Shimla. He was happy to note that the school was following the high principles and morals of Baba as was reflected in the Annual Function. 

He expressed happiness that there were large numbers of followers of Sai Baba in the State who were selflessly working for bringing peace and harmony in the society.Chief Minister said that Sai Baba last visited Anand Vilas in April, 2010 and blessed the School children, management and devotees. Sri Sai Baba’s message of unity and integrity was being followed by the Congress Government but it was unfortunate that certain political parties wanted to exploit religious values for political mileage. He said that his Government believed in equal and balanced development of all areas. Chief Minister also gave away the prizes to the meritorious students who excelled in sports and other co-curricular activities. State President, Sri Sathya Sai Sewa Organization Prof. Shyam Sunder while welcoming the Chief Minister said that he and all the devotees of Sai Baba in the State were indebted to Shri Virbhadra Singh for facilitating in establishing Sri Sathya Sai Baba School at Pujarli and providing other infrastructural support. Principal, Sri Sathya Sai Baba School Shri R.D. Chandla read out the annual school report and said that the students of this school had been performing exceptionally well. He said that all the students who appeared in Class 10 CBSE examination passed with flying colours.
